Port Fairy Women’s Weekend is a 2 day program focused on wellbeing and creativity, with the primary purpose to provide an opportunity for women to take time out to focus on themselves.
The program for 2019 is shaping up to “ignite & inspire” with an incredible line up of presenters and workshops for you to choose from.
Connections will be forged between presenters, participants and workshops interspersed with morning and afternoon teas and wholesome lunches. Saturday evening will be enjoyed with the time-honoured, celebratory dinner and opportunity to relax, mingle and meet other inspiring women.

Fees this year have been set at $140 concession and $170 full price. This includes all workshops and meals over two days. (excludes accommodation)

Join the girls from The Bloomery & Co to learn how to weave grape vines into gorgeous wreaths. These will last a lifetime, they dry beautifully and can be decorated over and over again with fresh flowers and foliage. If time permits you will also make some headpieces – combs or crowns – using fresh and dried flowers using some simple wiring techniques.
If you’re just about to lose your mind…then come get your floral on and rock quietly with us to a session inspired by Marvin Gaye.
The beautiful thing about yoga is that it can be adapted to suit anyone at any age and stage of life. It’s all about listening to your body and getting to know more of who you are.
The practice of yoga I teach is holistic, where you will be guided through asanas to help strengthen, stretch, calm and heal your body, mind and spirit.
You will then be taken on a wonderful journey of relaxation ~ a time of rest, peacefulness and stillness. We then practice some pranayama (breathing) techniques and will finish with a seated meditation.
Are you seeking an opportunity to unlock your creativity, connect with your inner wisdom and bring forth a vision of the things you would like to see in your future? Using smudging with sage, participants take the time to stop and let go of the busyness of life.
Then using guided meditation to relax and connect with a space deeper within, you will access your personal vision. From the meditation we then move on to create a board of images and words, woven together to represent your vision or the things you would like to call forth into your life.
In this workshop you will be guided by Ronda to discuss and share stories to document designed to help you reflect on your life from a strengths perspective.
This workshop will provide an opportunity for women of all ages to share some of your story and begin a process of recording your own story. You will also be inspired to discover the stories of family members.

Made from user friendly raku clay and coloured with bright underglazes, or glazed with a clear to see the body of the clay with experienced potter Meg Finnegan.
Stonework Play inspires creative and meaningful engagement with nature. Participants will be guided through its process of gathering their chosen stones, constructing their stone creation, rendering their work on paper, narrating what they have done in story form and sharing their experience with the group.
Through sharing our stories we are helping to nurture EMPATHY, KINDNESS, COMPASSION, BELONGING, PEACE and UNDERSTANDING … and these are qualities that humankind and our world needs more than anything right now.

In this Beginner crochet workshop you will be introduced to the joy of crochet and be amazed at what you will be able to create by learning to read a pattern and understand the basic crochet stitches such as chain stitch, double crochet and treble.
Bring along a crochet hook, size between a 5 or 6, and an 8ply ball of wool. Information and basic patterns can be emailed or put on usb stick.
This workshop is designed to engage both the left side of the brain and the right side of the brain through art. In a fun and stimulating environment, Chris will take you through the process of creating a realistic drawing from a given object using black lead pencils, then move to the other side and complete an abstract arrangement using music, and pastels or crayons.
In this workshop you will learn how to create your own mosaic artwork for indoor or outdoor purposes.
Chelsea will teach you different cutting techniques and how to create specific shapes. This workshop will introduce you to the tricks and tools of the trade as well as giving you the confidence to create your own beautiful pieces at home. All materials and tools are provided on the day.
You are welcome to bring along any broken crockery, old jewellery or cutlery to add individuality to your work.
How to take better photos with a mobile phone camera.
In this hands on workshop you will learn about the fundamental principals of photography in order to take better photos using your mobile phone camera. Emily will guide you with her knowledge and tips on using light, subject and composition to fully enhance your own day to day picture taking.
This workshop moves every muscle of the body, head to toe. Supplied with a skirt and belly scarf you will learn low impact warm ups before moving into sets of repetitive movements to get the body moving isolated muscles. We will then finish off by learning a routine to music and the accomplishment of belly dance, winding down to yoga moves and breathing mantras.
