Group Hypnosis

with Mandy van den Berg

Ready to move past blocks and actually follow through on your goals? This group hypnosis workshop is designed to help you align your subconscious mind with what you consciously want to achieve. Through guided hypnosis, you will release limiting beliefs, strengthen motivation, and create a clear internal pathway toward your goals, whether they involve career, health, confidence, habits or person growth.

In a group setting, you will experience deep relaxation while your mind becomes more receptive to positive change. The hypnosis session is aimed at releasing what has been holding you back from your goals and developing inspiration and motivation to help you get to your goals more easily and effectively. You will leave feeling focused, empowered, reset with practical insights and subconscious momentum that continues working long after the session ends.

No experience with hypnosis is required – just a willingness to relax, listen, and move forward.

African Djembe Drumming (School Holidays)

Join Yvonne in this relaxed and fun beginner class and learn to play African Djembe drums by creating basic rhythms of drumming to beats as a group. You will gain confidence and team working skills and of course lots of laughter is usually the end result. No experience is necessary and drums will be provided.

Let’s Explore Shadow & Light (School Holidays)

Join us indoors and out as we chase shadows, play with dappled sunlight, and experiment with torches and shadow puppets! Using leaves, sticks, and natural materials, kids will create shadow art and discover how light moves and changes throughout the day.

Playful, hands-on exploration that builds early science skills — observation, prediction, and curiosity — while connecting with nature.

Find Your Inner Cheerleader helps you reconnect with your most supportive voice—your own—through practical tools and guided reflection that build confidence, resilience, and compassionate self-talk you can use long after the workshop.

Reconnect with the most supportive voice you’ll ever have – your own. Find Your Inner Cheerleader is a mindset wellness workshop designed to help you quiet self-doubt, build self-trust, and cultivate compassionate, motivating self-talk. Through guided reflection, practical tools, and empowering exercises, you’ll learn how to shift from self-criticism to encouragement, strengthen resilience, and show up for your goals with confidence and clarity. Leave feeling re-energized and equipped with mindset practices you can use long after the workshop ends.

Wear comfortable clothing and bring your yoga mat and a cushion, blanket or any other items for warmth and comfort.

Spring Edible Seaweed

with Chris Rockley

Join seaweed forager Chris Rockley to learn more about edible seaweed found in Southern Victoria, collecting techniques and laws, preparation and preservation and how to cook them. If you have ever walked the beach and asked “which seaweed can I eat” then this event is for you. You are invited to join Chris afterwards on the beach to test out your new skills. The cost includes an ID guide to help you on your journey to identify seaweed in your area.

Chris Rockley is a professional natural science illustrator and nature educator. She specialises in nature observation, identification, and ethnobotany. She has been an educator in Victoria and NSW since 2008 and often leads guided nature activities and walks that explore and connect people to wild places. These are focused on helping people to see unnoticed ecological wonders and honing observation skills. Healthy Connected Communities

with Victorian Police

Victoria Police, with assistance from the Rotary Club of Port Fairy, invite you all to attend our free community event focusing on social isolation in the elderly and the importance of community connection, wellbeing and support.  There will be multiple guest presenters including Moyne Health and Moyne Council. You are encouraged to bring along a friend or family member who may be experiencing social isolation. Light refreshments will be provided and there will be time for questions and answers.

Port Fairy Chatty Café is a warm and welcoming space. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, we invite you to pull up a chair, share a free cuppa & cake, and connect with others in a relaxed, friendly environment. Our Chatty Café is all about reducing loneliness, building community, and creating meaningful moments through simple, genuine conversation. Bookings are not necessary but it’s handy for us to know rough numbers for catering.

Monday Meditation

Please bring a blanket/wrap and, if you wish to lie down for your meditation, a yoga mat and pillow.

Introduction to Garment Making

Begin your garment making journey with this beginner friendly pants making workshop. This step-by-step class will take you from beginning to end in producing a personalised pair of pants for you to take home.

We will cover the fundamentals of pattern and fabric selection, sizing and fitting, design choices and sewing skills required to make elasticated pants.

You will require a beginner’s knowledge of sewing and your machine, a machine in good working order, fabric scissors and pins.

Also, bring your own lunch as time will be given to have a short break.

Sinead has been sewing for 25 years, has an associate diploma in fashion design and technology and has run a small alterations business.

Ricky Schembri resides in Killarney and specializes in soft pastels. His work consists of landscapes, and more recently, street scenes of Melbourne and New York. He has won many awards in Australia and America. Ricky’s latest overseas adventure was five weeks travelling through Italy with his artist partner Alexandra. These classes are ideal for any artist who wants to gain more experience with the pastel medium. Paint at your own leisure on any subject. Ricky is very flexible with his teaching and will guide you through every step of your painting process.

Seaside Singers

Repair Cafe

with Repair Cafe volunteer fixers

Port Fairy Repair Café is a free event held monthly, run by the community for the community.

Located at the Port Fairy Community House, visitors are given the opportunity to bring their broken item from home. Together with the volunteer ‘fixer’, they start making their repairs. It’s an ongoing learning process fostering concepts of sustainability, community and skill-sharing.
