Spring Edible Seaweed

Join seaweed forager Chris Rockley to learn more about edible seaweed found in Southern Victoria, collecting techniques and laws, preparation and preservation and how to cook them. If you have ever walked the beach and asked “which seaweed can I eat” then this event is for you. You are invited to join Chris afterwards on the beach to test out your new skills. The cost includes an ID guide to help you on your journey to identify seaweed in your area.

Chris Rockley is a professional natural science illustrator and nature educator. She specialises in nature observation, identification, and ethnobotany. She has been an educator in Victoria and NSW since 2008 and often leads guided nature activities and walks that explore and connect people to wild places. These are focused on helping people to see unnoticed ecological wonders and honing observation skills.
