    This course seeks to demonstrate how listening to music may influence the creation of art expressions. Mixed media on paper. Art materials are supplied.

    All learners must be a current member of the Community House.

    Tuesday Oct 15

    Learn how to cook traditional Chinese dishes including Wonton soup, Cantonese BBQ pork, lettuce bowl, Gyoza and more. Sit and enjoy the spoils together for lunch with a traditional tea ceremony included.

    Come and get your hands dirty in the Community Garden. This is an organic, experimental garden based along the lines of permaculture as much as possible.

    This class if for people who have never done any crochet. Places will be absolutely limited to five so get in quick. How to hold the hook, what is chain stitch, where do you start?

    Introduction to Ink Painting and Gold Leaf

    Bookings Now Closed

    An introduction to the main principles of ink painting and the central role of water to compose a balanced artwork. Discover ‘wet on wet’ and ‘wet on dry’ techniques, layering and using gold leaf. Includes tips for ink management, brush and paper qualities, how to use negative and positive space. Material list given upon registration.
